Hafdís Hanna Aegisdottir

HB5 Leadership Facilitator

Hafdís Hanna is passionate about making our planet healthier and our societies fairer and safer through equality, exceptional leadership and collaboration across countries, continents, and cultures. She has extensive experience in global sustainability, environmental education, development cooperation and leadership. For over a decade she was the Director of the UN University Land Restoration Training Programme, working with her team to provide skill and leadership training for specialists from developing countries.

Hafdís Hanna now serves as a research manager at the Institute for Sustainability Studies at the University of Iceland, and a consultant on environmental- and development cooperation issues for government agencies, a leadership- and life coach, and a regular columnist on environmental issues at the Icelandic Broadcasting Service. She holds a PhD in plant ecology from the University of Basel in Switzerland. Hafdís Hanna regains energy through singing jazz and hiking in wild places. She is an HB3 alumna.
