Priscilla Wehi is a conservation researcher at the Centre for Sustainability, University of Otago, New Zealand, and Director of Te Pūnaha Matatini Centre of Research Excellence in Complex Systems. She is interested in transformational change in the research, science and innovation system, so that it is more inclusive, interdisciplinary and agile and can respond to critical global problems such as biodiversity loss and climate change. She grew up in New Zealand and completed degrees in Zoology and Animal Ecology, before completing her PhD in 2006 while parenting three children. Cilla acknowledges her relationships to Tainui, Ngāpuhi and Tūhoe tribal groups through her extended family relationships.
