A key purpose of Homeward Bound is to share expertise and create a network for collaboration. Day two of the Symposium at Sea, where the women aboard the Ushuaia learn about each other’s disciplines, passions, and leadership journeys.
They each connect to Antarctica through different lenses, bringing perspectives from many disciplines. Together, they are building our diverse network to address global challenges to human and planetary health.

“We [women] bring so many traits that are very, very scarce. The traits of long-term thinking and acting, rather than short-term. The traits of leading with love and joy, and inclusivity rather than hierarchy”. Christiana Figueras
