(27 February 2025) Homeward Bound, a global transformational leadership initiative, has announced an exciting partnership agreement with Intrepid Travel.
The new partnership sees Intrepid supporting Homeward Bound’s immersive experience to its new destination, Tanzania while sponsoring three scholarships for talented leaders on its tenth program (HB10).
The non-profit initiative, dedicated to supporting women and non-binary individuals with STEMM backgrounds to lead and influence for a better future, involves a 12-month online program combining leadership coaching, strategy development, and visibility enhancement, all while providing access to a powerful network of global peers. Homeward Bound’s cohort will have the opportunity to participate in an immersive expedition in Tanzania, designed to reinforce their learning through real-world experiences.

“By removing financial barriers, we want to support women and non-binary people who may have faced financial constraints to apply and seize this opportunity to lead, grow and shape the sustainable future of our planet,” Thompson says.
“We’re especially mindful of ensuring that participants from developing countries and First Nations communities have access to this funding.”
Dr. Susanne Etti, Intrepid’s Global Environmental Impact Manager, added:
“The climate crisis disproportionately impacts women, so diversifying the voices at the decision-making table will only improve outcomes for all.”
Applications are open until 21 March 2025 to all women and non-binary individuals with backgrounds in STEMM globally, with a strong encouragement for Indigenous, People of Color and members from marginalised communities to apply.
