It started with 76 adventurous women in 2016. That number swelled to 152 with our second cohort in 2017-18 and to 232 with our third (2018-19). And now we are announcing #TeamHB4, the fourth group of women to join our global community. By the time #TeamHB4 finish their journey, we will be over a third of the way to achieving our vision of building a global collaboration of 1000 women leaders with STEMM backgrounds.
The women in #TeamHB4 represent 33 nationalities and all areas of STEMM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths and Medicine). We have both our youngest- and oldest-ever participants in this cohort, ranging from 21 to 69. Each woman will share her 12-month journey with 99 others, culminating in a 21-day expedition to Antarctica in November 2019. Over the year-long program, each woman will participate in collaborative projects, leadership, strategy, science and visibility training.
You can view the profiles of our #TeamHB4 participants on the HB4 Participants page. Below, you can watch the responses from many of the women when finding out their application had been successful and that they would be joining #TeamHB4.
