Alessia is an Italian energy engineer with a passion for sustainability in all its forms. In 2020, she completed her PhD carried out in Trinity College Dublin University in Ireland. The focus of her PhD was to evaluate under which conditions manufacturing industries could produce their electricity from renewable sources on site in a more sustainable way, both from an environmental and economic point of view.
After her PhD, Alessia moved back to Italy, her home country, and is currently working in Milan as an electricity market analyst in Falck Renewables, to find new markets and new opportunities for renewable energy growth. Alessia is also part of the Global Shapers community, that voluntarily works on developing projects with a local but also national and international impact on three main pillars: Climate Change, Education and Employment, Equity and Inclusion.
