It’s an exciting time to be in the construction industry as she gets to work on all sorts of projects that will be shaping the fabric of her home city for years to come. This is what Alice finds the most rewarding about her career in construction & engineering – building things that will become part of the community’s everyday life. She’s just getting started in the industry but hopes to see it become more safe, diverse, and sustainable.
Alice is also a passionate advocate for women in construction and STEMM fields – a proud #STEMinist! Alice believes that connection and support networks are the cornerstones for women in male-dominated industries and looks forward to driving change within her own industry by making it a more appealing environment for everyone, not just women. She also mentors and speaks at secondary and university levels to represent the ladies in hard hats and high-vis who are sorely under-represented as visible role models due to the demands of the industry.
