Anna Vinkhuyzen has a strong passion for translating science into public health applications. She works at the Institute for Molecular Bioscience at the University of Queensland, in Brisbane, Australia. Anna was born and raised in The Netherlands, where she obtained a Master’s degree in Neuropsychology and a PhD in Population Genetics. She is interested in the genetic underpinnings of common complex disease, and enjoys the challenge of translating scientific discoveries into mechanisms for improved prevention and early diagnosis. She loves to explore the Australian outdoors with her husband and two young children.
