ANNE CHARMANTIER

Prof Anne Charmantier is an evolutionary ecologist studying the mechanisms involved in the evolution of adaptive traits, especially in a context of climate change and urbanization. She has worked on several long-term bird studies and is presently in charge of a research program on blue tits and great tits funded by the European Research Council. She has internationally renowned expertise in quantitative genetics, the evolution of animal personalities, local adaptation and spatio-temporal fluctuations in natural selection. She is particularly interested in how animal populations can adapt to rapidly changing environments and this is a subject that she thrives to broadly communicate on. Anne is married with two children and loves to hike, to swim and to travel and discover new cultures.
