Investment Associate – Water
Asma Bachikh is a water resources management specialist from Morocco whose expertise focuses on the management and policy dimensions of freshwater resources. She has accumulated experience working for multilateral development banks in different regions of the world (Middle East, North Africa, South Asia, and Southeast Asia). Asma also worked for the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) on climate change issues with a focus on climate adaptation projects.
Asma holds an MSc in Water Science Policy and Management from the University of Oxford and a Master of Law in China studies with a major in International Relations and Politics from Peking University. She is also a part-time researcher and collaborated on several research articles. Her research interests lie at the intersection of science and policy in the water sector.
Asma previously served as president of the World Youth Parliament for Water from 2015-2018. She is currently sitting on the executive board of the International Water Resources Association (IWRA).
