Carolina is a young, passionate and resilient Colombian environmentalist who believes that a better world is possible. She graduated as a lawyer from Los Andes University in Colombia and later specialized in Economics at the same university. Currently she works as Sustainability Lead at ABInBev for Colombia, Peru and Ecuador. She has published stories in different national and international media and since 2015 she has been writing as an Op –Ed Columnist for Semana Sostenible, a leading magazine on sustainability. She is a One Young World Ambassador since 2017. She translated from English to Spanish Pavan Sukhdev’s book Corporation 2020 and Lester Brown’s book The Great Transition. She has taught international environmental law courses at Rosario and Externado University, two leading law faculties in Colombia. Finally, she is one of the authors of the climate change book “Cambio climático: lo que está en juego” and author of the climate change and mercury booklets “El Acuerdo de París: así actuará Colombia frente al cambio climático” and “El Convenio de Minamata. Así actúa Colombia frente al mercurio.”
