Loving ocean, Christelle studied marine science in France. She started her career as a hydraulic engineer, then a project coordinator enjoying juggling all aspects of a project. However, after so many years away from the ocean, she resigned from her job, travelled the world for one year, and fell in love with the Tasmanian wilderness. She reoriented her path into marine renewable energy and started a PhD at the University of Tasmania that submitted in 2021. Since then, she has put her skills into practice in a start-up focusing on operational oceanography and adaptation to climate change.
