Divya Cristaudo is a Patent Examiner and a Veterinary Technician. Her career in STEMM spans across industry and public sector roles, and includes significant veterinary industry experience having worked in clinical setting as a veterinary technician, and in pharmacovigilance and technical services in the veterinary pharmaceutical industry and as a territory manager in the veterinary medicines and medical devices industries as well.
Divya now works with IP Australia (the Australian Government agency that administers intellectual property rights and associated legislation in Australia) and is responsible for assessing and accepting applications for medical device patents. She has a customer centric focus, honed by her previous and current roles supporting the veterinary profession and animal health industry, and now in the context of serving entities and people who are committed to improving and innovating technology in health.
Being an Australian who was born in Singapore to Indian parents, her outlook to people and life has a global lens imposed upon it. Pairing this with coming from a small island with an immensely dense population and city, her affinity for the natural world is ingrained from childhood appreciation and has guided her career and personal trajectory. She enjoys spending time outdoors with her dogs the most, alongside reading and connecting with loved ones.
