Dr Erinne Stirling is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the College of Environmental and Resource Sciences at Zhejiang University, China. They are also a Visiting Research Fellow for the Acid Sulfate Soils Centre at The University of Adelaide, Australia. Erinne completed their soil ecology/fire ecology PhD in 2019 and currently investigates wet soil biogeochemistry, soil microbial communities and viruses by using paddy rice as a model system. They are interested in the roles of soil microbes in restoring degraded wetland soil ecosystems, particularly those suffering from severe acidification.
