Fabian Dattner
Co-founder of Homeward Bound; Board Director; Founding Faculty member; Leadership Facilitator
I am the dreamer, founder and recently stepped down donor CEO of Homeward Bound. I am currently the CEO of Dattner Group who underwrote Homeward Bound in its first four years, prior to becoming a fully fledged not for profit. Today I sit on the Board, am a founding member and co chair of Busara and contribute to the leadership faculty and expedition leadership. I am a leadership expert and activist for a sustainable world through an evolved model of leadership. I advocate for women leading as one of the crucial contributions to a sustainable future. My background is social sciences. I have a deep care for Mother Earth, and I am a lover of the sciences. I am also a social entrepreneur, interested in bringing together ways of working together that can improve our future together. I value freedom to learn, compassion and fighting
for a better world. I have a big and wonderful family, three sons and a daughter (two from my first marriage, and two from my husbands second). I love reading, travelling, exercise and cooking. I have written several books, and been in a number of others. I dreamt of making a film in the original Homeward Bound dream. I did not imagine the film, The Leadership, although I helped raise the funds for this with Bunya Productions. I have a wonderful much loved husband, 2 dogs and 3 indoor Burmese cats.
