From a young age, it was always clear to Fiona that she would dedicate her life to animals, their conservation and the preservation of wild places. The journey began with a Bachelor of Science with Honours, majoring in Zoology and Ecology/Conservation.
After completing her degree, Fiona set her sights on securing a position working closely with animals in the Zoo and Aquarium industry, gaining a role as a Zoo Keeper within Zoos Victoria. During her career she continued to strengthen her dedication to animals and their conservation and a new love, leadership. Her career in leadership, from Coordinator, Project Officer and Manager has now taken her in the direction of working as the General Manager of Life Sciences at Port Moresby Nature Park in a temporary (six to twelve months) leave position.
In her spare time, Fiona spends most of her time outdoors, either hiking, surfing, mountain biking or trail running.
