Doctor
Gemma is a medical doctor with an interest in sport and exercise medicine, currently undertaking research in the field of extreme sports. Prior to medicine she worked as an outdoor guide and as a spatial analyst for the Australian Federal Government involved in national mapping and natural disaster planning and response.
Gemma spends as much time as she can in the outdoors pursuing a variety of sports such as orienteering, trail running, mountain biking or hiking. She has an ambitious goal to complete a fastest known trail running time (FKT) on an iconic Australian trail in 2024. Gemma wants to inspire and support more women to pursue outdoor adventures and maximise their physical health and well-being.
