PhD Candidate, MIT Media Lab
Chinese, living in MA, USA
Huili is a multi-disciplinary AI researcher and interactive storytelling designer. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. degree at MIT Media Lab in the US for robotics and human-AI interaction. She grew up in Guizhou, a mountainous province in China. Driven by her curiosity to explore the human relationship with the land, she aided in rescuing wild animals in Costa Rica, studied water pollution in West Virginia, and explored innovative education in rural Zambia. She always ponders how computing technologies would impact indigenous communities and the planet, and how to fight for more sustainable ways of developing and using technology.
