Dr Hu holds a DPhil in Materials from the University of Oxford (2016). Jing’s work has been focussing on designing cutting-edge materials technology for the benefit of fighting climate change. When not running the electron microscopes in the lab, she organised the Oxford Climate Forum (2015), campaigned at COP21, interned at the IAEA, and is currently co-founding a third-generation quantum dot solar cell company that will hopefully enable wireless charging using solar power anywhere, anytime, under any conditions (she is excited to bring it to test in Antarctica in 2019!).
