JUSTINE VIRGINIA MURRAY

Research scientist, CSIRO
Australian, living in Brisbane, Australia
Justine has a love for nature and indigenous cultures and believes we must live in harmony with our environment. This led to completion of a BSc in ecology and a BA in anthropology at the University of Queensland. She continued her interests with a GradCert in community development and a PhD in conservation. She currently works as a landscape ecologist in the biosecurity sector, assessing the risk of exotic plants, animals and disease spreading across natural and modified environments. She enjoys working closely with local communities, so they understand the science, and help them manage their own environment effectively and sustainably. She is also involved in mentoring high school students. Justine loves travelling, hiking, horse riding and dog sledding.
