Karen was born and raised in the UK, and received a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cambridge University. She has experience in design and development, operations support, HR, marketing and business transformation. She’s worked in both the US and UK, and travelled globally to many non-holiday-destination oilfield locations. Having done studies on design best practice and corporate business performance, Karen sees that it is possible to include other factors into design and management that include impact or sustainability considerations. Karen is hoping HB4 can help her persuade industry that it can play a much greater part. As a mother of three, she sees how children are being educated today to take responsibility for the environment and believes there are many day-to-day decisions we can all make. They all enjoy exploring and our favourite places are wandering through the woods, dinosaur hunting or lying on the grass cloud-animal spotting.
