Dr. Katharina Heil is a Bioinformatician working as the Scientific Project Manager of European research projects. This role allows her to shape and enable interdisciplinary research across Europe and globally, and benefits from her excellent communication skills. She received a joint PhD from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland/UK and KTH, Sweden in 2017.
As the current President of the Erasmus Mundus Association, she advocates for Higher Education and shapes its future. She’s a role model for many young internationals and convinced about the impact of education, especially in STEMM. Katharina sees knowledge as a key enabler to develop a global understanding of the need for action towards environmental protection and climate change.
