Associate Professor, University of Strathclyde
Dr Katherine Duncan is an Associate Professor in Marine Microbialm Antibiotic Discovery at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland. Her group investigates the chemical ‘language’ of marine microorganisms. In particular, the influence and patterns of environment, ecology, biogeography and evolution on this metabolite exchange, with a focus on accelerating the biodiscovery of novel antibiotics from our under-explored oceans. Kate was a participant for HB2 and co-led the science program for HB3 (on-ship), HB5 (program) and HB6 (on-ship).
