Kerstie values integrity, curiosity and connection. She aims to live in a way that encompasses these values in her most important roles of woman, daughter, mother, wife, friend and worker. She lives in Australia in the southern state of Victoria and calls the small regional town of Mansfield where she has been living for the past 20 years, home. Kerstie currently works at the Goulburn Broken Catchment Management Authority as the Regional Landcare Coordinator. Within this role, she supports volunteer-run organisations to have strong governance, deliver community educational events and practical activities to support eco-system resilience amongst local landholders. Kerstie is currently chair of the Victorian Landcare Team, where her focus is on leading improvements in monitoring, reporting, evaluation and implementation of data, as well as visioning new models of investment and delivery for community.
Kerstie has a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy, and a Diploma of Conservation Land Management. From this combined framework, she strives to improve the health of our environmental systems through understanding the role of volunteers in facilitating change. In addition, Kerstie has trained in Permaculture Design which she utilises to brings a holistic lens to her personal and professional interactions.
Kerstie likes to keep active with several outdoor pursuits including trail running, bushwalking, sea kayaking and cross-country skiing that provide a sense of capability. She reads to relax and enjoys cooking great food to enjoy with friends and family.
