Kiri Yapp
(She/Her)
Principal Climate Resiliance
Kiri’s curiosity about people and planet has led to a diverse and international career with the common thread of addressing climate change. She has brought an interdisciplinary approach to roles traversing government, consulting and the private sector, and to topics including climate risk and adaptation, sustainability strategy and disclosures, and greenhouse gas reporting and compliance.
Currently, Kiri works for a large global resources company, leading its approach to climate adaptation and resilience, including designing strategies to manage physical climate-related risk and providing the oversight, collaboration and technical support for successful implementation.
In previous roles, including with the Australian and Dominican Republic governments, Kiri has supported delivery of climate adaptation programs in Pacific island countries, and contributed to UNFCCC negotiations on the topics of adaptation and loss and damage. During her time at a large consulting firm, she led geographically diverse teams to deliver climate change and sustainability projects, for clients in many sectors, and co-authored an article in Nature Climate Change on climate-related financial disclosures in the public sector.
She enjoys an active, outdoorsy lifestyle spending time with family and friends, but also curling up with a good book.
