Director Groundwater Management, Murray Darling Basin Authority
American and Australian citizen, living in Australia
Kristanne is a civil engineer and marine ecology enthusiast currently working in inland water management in Australia. She grew up in Juneau Alaska within the rain forests of the Tongass National Forest, but currently lives in the driest inhabited continent on earth and is passionate about managing water resources sustainably. In recent years, she has been working in groundwater management and has been inspired by Australian Aboriginal people who understand the necessity of the resource for survival. It has been said that Kristanne’s most defining characteristic is her deep desire to grow, learn and be challenged. Her passions are her three sons and smoked salmon.
