Lauren Rudd
(She/Her)
Television Executive Producer
As a respected Television Executive Producer, Lauren has delivered over 500 hours to air of television crossing many genres of Australian TV from Documentary, Reality, Entertainment and Live Event programs.
She’s led innovations in interactive technology, on programs like, “The National IQ test”, and developed leading edge digital and social media assets on shows like “House Rules” that used virtual tours to feature sponsor products. Lauren has frequently led teams of over 200 people on a 24-hour cycle due to the volume of footage and schedule requirements.
No matter the size of the project, Lauren’s passion is telling stories that add value. She feels privileged to have shared the work of many people in STEMM – from Veterinarians, Flight Engineers, Paramedics, and currently Conservation Scientists at Taronga Zoo in Sydney.
Her greatest career achievement has been mentoring dozens of women (officially and unofficially) to flip their narrative and believe, ‘you are ready now’ for that next step up – and then helping them to facilitate that promotion.
Lauren believes the mainstream media has a huge role to play in initiatives being explored and discussed by Homeward Bound. She’s concerned about the environment, recycling and MOST importantly the voice of women. At this stage in her career, Lauren hopes to give back to the community and planet by using her skills in mentoring, people management and story telling to ensure the female voice is heard.
