I grew up in a small village of eastern China. A grand cycling trip, which I participated as a freshman in college, unleashed my inner passion into environmental protection. Since then, I have studied how fish populations responded to the construction of the three gorges dam in China (BS), the demographic dynamics of alpine fern population on Tibetan Plateau during the last glacier maximum (phD), genetic basis of adaptation of poplar trees to latitudinal gradients and to explore the corn genome for continuous / better production under global warming (postdoctor). Outside of work, I love running, reading, writing and meditation.
