Linda Lara holds a PhD in Toxicology from the Institut national de la recherche scientifique (INRS) in Quebec, Canada; expert in toxicology, health/environment, epidemiology, and climate change. Currently a postdoctoral fellow in SARS-CoV-2 surveillance in wastewater at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT). Formerly a full-time professor at the Autonomous University of Baja California (UABC) in charge of the Toxicology area, field experience in the Lacandon Rain Forest, Cloud Forest, and boreal forests; as well as community work in indigenous communities in Latin America. Passionate about promoting diversity in STEM and is an active member of Científico Latino, Women Leaders in STEAM (U.S.- Mexico Leaders Network), and Full Member of OWSD (The Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World); of the 2030 Agenda for the SDGs is Ambassador of My World Mexico and ExpertODS (SDSN Mexico); of Climate Change (Climate Reality Leader); of Science Policy and Science Diplomacy, is a member of the Science Diplomacy Network of Latin America and the Caribbean as Scientific Advisor.
