Dr Lisa Mills completed a BSc (Chemistry) and BEng (Environmental) before embarking on a PhD, which led her to investigate biosorbent properties of biosolids for heavy metal and cyanide remediation of acid mine drainage. Lisa has worked in the mining, power generation and consulting sectors over the last 20 years. Lisa is currently working with GeelongPort to achieve their environmental vision to become Australia’s most environmentally sustainable bulk port. Lisa has a passion for gender equity and hopes to be a role model for the next generation of females interested in both STEM and environmental sustainability. Lisa is also a wife, mother of two amazing humans, coffee connoisseur and an avid traveller.
