Meteorologist

Louise is a meteorologist with over 17 years’ experience in weather forecasting both for Government and the private sector. She has been part of five Antarctic expeditions with the Australian Antarctic Program, has worked in remote Central Australia, and on an isolated island in the Coral Sea. Her roles are often leading small teams of professionals in isolated environments and in extreme climatic conditions. Louise has a life-long passion for Earth Sciences, and apart from weather and climate, also has a keen interest in all things Antarctic science, coral reef ecology, and is passionate about environmental sustainability at the grass roots level.
In her spare time, Louise undertakes wildlife photography, hiking, SCUBA diving/snorkelling and travelling to exotic places. She lives in Australia, teaches yoga on occasion, and volunteers her time to work with a local wildlife charity.
Louise is excited to be part of the Homeward Bound alumnae, The Convergence where she is collaborating with other graduates from the Homeward Bound program to do her part in contributing to the betterment of future generations.
