Lucinda is a nutrition scientist with interests in food composition, vitamin D, and multiple sclerosis (MS). She completed her PhD in nutrition science in 2012 at University College Cork in Ireland and is now based at Deakin University in Melbourne. She initiated the MS Nutrition Research Program, which aims to elucidate the role of diet in MS and promote healthy eating among people with MS. Lucinda collaborates with the MS community to make sure her research meets the values and needs of people with MS, and she partners with Aboriginal communities in the Kimberley to promote vitamin D sufficiency and sustainable consumption of bush tucker. She works with a fantastic team of students, early- and mid-career researchers, along with national and international collaborators, to deliver translatable outcomes that are designed to make a difference.
