Lucy believes that to make the most change, she must go where change is needed most. As a passionate environmental scientist turned sustainability professional, she has pursued a career in large-scale sustainability projects. Her goal is to use corporate powers for good through influencing sustainability strategies, policies, and ultimately, progress.
Lucy has an educational background in integrated environmental management, ecology, water, and communications, most recently completing a Graduate Certificate in Environmental and Climate Emergency. Through these studies she recognised that global organisations have the greatest impact on climate change and therefore have the greatest opportunity to mitigate the worsening climate crisis. This has spurred her to work for multinational companies and government agencies across Australia, Asia, the Pacific Islands and North America.
Having been at the front line to witness how natural and manmade disasters impact people and the planet, Lucy is an advocate for the increasing need for community resilience in the face of the climate crisis.
In her spare time, she is an American Red Cross Disaster Responder, actively responding to local needs immediately following fires, storms, and transportation accidents. She is also a member of her local American Red Cross Chapter’s Board, Executive Board Committee, and Chair of the Volunteer and Mission Capacity Committee.
