In Maria’s words “I believe that I am an example of a hard-working woman in a male-led industry and I can serve to encourage other women to strive for their own goals”. Maria worked for five years as a professor of numerical analysis in the civil engineering degree program at Alfonso X University in Madrid. Since she was a child, Maria was very good at mathematics and enjoyed teaching her classmates who had more difficulties. Maria dedicates part of her time to volunteer activities with underprivileged families. It should also be noted that Maria has raised a large family and has three wonderful children. Her two passions in life are her work and her family. Maria’s main hobbies are traveling and discovering different places. Among her favorite sports are mountain climbing and sailing.
