Associate Professor Lindy Fitzgerald is a neuroscience at The University of Western Australia, leading a team of 12 researchers and students. Her research is focussed on understanding the nature of damage following neurotruma. She uses this knowledge to design and test therapeutic approaches, including pharmacotherapies and nanatechnologies. Dr Fitzgerald has published 63 papers, holds a Career Development Fellowship from the National Health and Medical Research Council, Australia, and leads two Project Grants.
Dr convenes the annual Symposium of WA Neuroscience, Chairs Department committees and is a founding coordinator of the Faculty Gender Equality in Science group and mentoring program.
