Mel is lucky enough to currently work in her dream job as a senior ecologist with the ACT Government’s Conservation Research unit. After falling in love with the wonders of marsupial reproductive biology during her undergraduate degree, she went on to complete her PhD developing fertility control vaccines for managing overabundant kangaroo populations. She now works on a range of wildlife conservation and habitat restoration projects within the ACT, supported by an incredibly engaged and passionate community. Her mission for HB5 is to develop an understanding of how leadership can inspire real change, with tangible benefits for our global home.
