Melody Ding was born and raised in China where she completed her undergraduate education in marine biology. She then moved to the USA to pursue postgraduate education in public health, followed by her relocation to Australia for her postdoctoral research. Now a Senior Researcher at the University of Sydney, Melody works broadly at the intersection of lifestyles, epidemiology, and chronic disease prevention. She is a passionate scientist and communicator, inspired to promote the health and well-being of people, communities, and the planet. In her spare time, she enjoys an active lifestyle with lots of yoga, dance, and water-based activities, reading a good book, and having deep and meaningful conversations with like-minded people.
