Lecturer and Early Career Researcher (Earth Science), The University of Western Australia
Australian living in Perth, Australia
Naomi is an Earth scientist, a geologist, an Antarctic explorer and a STEM educator. As an early career researcher at the University of Western Australia, Naomi works in deep-time. She specialises in the hidden subglacial geology of Antarctica, and decoding Earth’s turbulent tectonic past from 3 billion year old rocks in Australia. Naomi strives to be a leader in delivering high-quality tertiary education. She is ambitious and enthusiastic about inspiring the young (and young-at-heart) to understand the importance of Earth Science to their everyday lives, to enact positive change for a sustainable future for all. In her spare time, Naomi loves travelling, bird watching, bush walking, and playing the euphonium.
