Following a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and M.S. in Water Resources Engineering, Noa spent several years in industry developing environmental sensors for water quality, soil moisture, agriculture, and weather stations. In an endless pursuit to broaden horizons, she decided to supplement her engineering career with a PhD in the social sciences. She studied public engagement with environmental issues, and her dissertation involved perceptions of natural resource extraction. She now works for the Environmental Defense Fund as a Senior Analyst for Climate Resilient Water Systems. A first-generation American, Noa likes to take advantage of the diverse landscapes of the US. When not working, she can be found recreating in the mountains, valleys, canyons, deserts, and rivers of the American West.
