Noa Gonzalez Borrajo
Project Manager at Fundacion Oso de Asturias (Brown Bear Asturias Foundation)
Living in Asturias, Spain
Noa is a Galician girl who grows up loving nature, animals, exploring and adventure (she is still always looking for new adventures). As she was young, she loved spent time in the forest with her friends and family. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Zoology, two Master’s degrees in Conservation and Education and a PhD about Spatial Ecology of big cats of America analysing genetically their scats and behavior with camera traps, which took her to different amazing wild forests of Central and South America.
After finishing her PhD, she started to focus her training in environmental education, divulgation and project management, trying to combine everything with researching and conservation. The last three years she has worked with brown bears in the Asturias Brown Bear Foundation in Spain, doing field work, education, researching, brown bear rehabilitation and project management. On a daily basis, she can be seen fighting for the role of women in researching and conservation to be valued; teaching people to have a more sustainable way of life; as well as reading, travelling, learning, doing handcrafts and spending time with her dog, family and friends.
