Paloma was born in Bucaramanga, Colombia. Driven by her passion for physics and the understanding of our planet, after earning her bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, she moved to Europe to pursue graduate studies in Applied Geophysics. She is currently working in oil and gas exploration but, determined to switch paths towards sustainability, soon will provide geophysical support to the Norwegian state-owned energy company, on the installation of windfarms in the North Sea. She is looking forward to keep developing her leadership skills while improving the visibility of women in decision making that will impact the course of our current energy industry, like meeting the growing demand for cleaner and more affordable energy in an efficient and more responsible manner.
