Priscila Chaves Martínez

Priscila Chaves Martínez has worked at the intersection of technology, entrepreneurship and impact for over 17 years, leading business strategy in corporations & government and scaling startup ecosystems in Latin America, South-East Asia and East Africa.
She is the founder and Managing Director of Latin American innovation agency 10x Impact, leveraging technology, innovation and ethics to design the future of the region through policy and community activation. As part of their recent work, they led and launched Costa Rica´s first National Artificial Intelligence Strategy this past February. For her impact in the field of technology, Priscila has been recognized in the “Bold Women in Central America” list, and was recognized as an “Admired & Transformational Leader” by business magazine E&N.
With her global experience and diverse perspective, she led operations during ten years for IBM in the Americas, Europe and Asia-Pacific; followed by leading commercial strategies for Latin America’s largest AI firm. She joined agro-giant Cargill in early 2021 as Transformation Director where she currently champions the journey in transforming global food systems.
She is a thought leader in the fields of Tech & Innovation and a celebrated speaker, with over 20.000 views of her talks on innovation, ethics and the future. Priscila is the country coordinator of fAIr LAC, IADB’s Ethical AI Observatory, and ambassador for “Women in AI”; as part of her mission for gender justice and climate action, she’ll join Homeward Bound’s all-women-in-STEMM expedition to Antarctica occurring later in 2023.
Priscila lives in London, UK and is a post-graduate candidate in AI Ethics & Society at the Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence at the University of Cambridge.
