Ruby is a Christian who cares about people, the environment and looking after future generations. She studied Chemical Engineering and Immunology at Melbourne University and has since worked in the environmental sector.
After some time in environmental consulting, she has spent the last 9 years working in NSW public service in various roles including at the EPA and Climate and Atmospheric Science. She currently is a principal policy officer in air policy at the NSW Department of Planning and Environment. Her experience includes response to the Black Summer 2019/20 bushfires, the comprehensive remake of the Clean Air Regulation and developing policy to deliver air and health outcomes for NSW.
In 2021, she joined the department’s Spokeswomen program to support and make a difference for women in the workplace. When not working or helping out at church, Ruby likes to read, do crafts, cook and spend time with family and friends.
