Sally is a paediatric doctor who is passionate about combining a career in global health and clinical medicine with a focus on community empowerment and self-determination. She has worked in a number of roles across community and non-governmental sectors in Australia and Latin America, with the aim of ensuring all children have equitable opportunities and are able to realise their developmental potential.
Sally spent 2020 and 2021 working in the Australian government COVID-19 public health response, first in outbreak management and then in the preparedness and implementation of the COVID-19 Vaccination Program, including as acting Director of Vaccine Safety and Evaluation.
Sally is dedicated to the advancement of women in healthcare leadership. She believe in leading with empathy and is passionate about harnessing the unique skills of each individual to form a collective of women dedicated to creating meaningful change in the world. In her spare time, you will find her dancing salsa, exploring the world, or going out for a delicious meal with friends.
