Postdoctoral Research Fellow, UNSW School of Built Environment & Curtin University
Western Australia, Australia
Samantha is an advocate for sustainable buildings and cities. Starting out in business, she returned to university to study science and sustainability management in 2007 after travelling and working overseas. She was frustrated at the lack of practical pathways for climate change mitigation. Her passion is in the integration of wellbeing and environment using practical tools which link research and practice. Her PhD produced a performance evaluation and improvement tool for commercial buildings. She is now a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at UNSW School of Built Environment and Curtin University, researching evidence-based decision making for sustainable buildings. Samantha has an entrepreneurial spirit, is active in the start-up community and aiming to enable more women to take their ideas to positive action.
