Samantha graduated with First Class Honours in Marine Biology from the University of Queensland in December 2016, at the age of 44. She is now with ECOCEAN, a not-for-profit organisation that works for the protection and conservation of whale sharks and the marine environment through research, education and public outreach. Samantha is passionate about the importance of STEM education and believes going back to university was the best thing she ever did. Through her Homeward Bound journey, Samantha wants to show that anyone can make a difference and it’s never too late to start!
