Sara Stewart
Marine Biologist at LGL Ecological Research Associates, Inc.
Living in Louisiana, United States
Sara obtained her B.S. in Earth and Environmental Sciences, with a concentration in Coastal Sciences from The University of New Orleans, where she began her bizarre yet fantastic career within the fisheries industry. Although her career is in its youth, she has assisted with and coordinated various field-based fisheries research projects across the Gulf of Mexico. Sara has developed a wide range of skill sets including shoreline clean-up assessment post oil spill, Gulf fish identification, and an unanticipated aptitude for fisherman banter. She is currently in pursuit of a masters degree from Texas A&M University with an interest in biological oceanography and marine technologies. Other research interests include marine technology, interactions between the environment and social sciences, geomorphological proxies for marine habitat, traditional ecological knowledge, and marine reserve planning. Sara also enjoys sailing, dreams of scuba diving and manages to keep alive two cats, one dog and a few dozen tropical plants.
