Sarah-Jayne is an engineer and science communicator. After completing her engineering degree at the University of Western Australia, she spent 5 years working for an international engineering company in 14 different countries. She spent the majority of her time in USA, Brazil, UAE, Kuwait, Argentina and Australia, working in Spanish, Portuguese and English.
She returned to Australia in 2019 to complete her Master of Science Communication and spent a year with the Questacon Science Circus, delivering science shows and engagements to regional and remote Australian communities.
She is now the Partnerships and Communications Manager at Questacon – The National Science and Technology Centre in Canberra, where she works to make STEM more accessible for Australian communities.
Sarah-Jayne is passionate about giving back and is currently volunteering at the Perth Children’s Hospital, as a mentor to disadvantaged teens, and on the Western Australian National Science Week Committee.
