Dr. Simone is an environmental economist with over 15 years of international work experience on climate change, land use, and sustainability. She currently works as an independent consultant for organisations such as the GCF, UNDP and FAO, overseeing the preparation and execution of projects on these topics in several Latin American countries.
Simone is passionate about linking climate change and biodiversity conservation, firmly believing we need to rethink our definition of development to ensure it is sustainable. She currently lives in an ecovillage in Brazil, implementing these great ideas on the ground, putting theory acquired through work into practice.
