Sofia is a scientist at CSIRO’s Food program and leads the Physical and Chemical Characterisation team in Melbourne, Australia. She is also responsible for the structural characterisation and visualisation capability and has over 15 years of microscopy experience. She has participated in CSIRO’s accelerator ON program, where science ideas are transformed to business opportunities. Sofia’s background is chemical engineering with a PhD in Material Science from Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden. She is married with a son and loves being outdoors. She has a positive can-do attitude, is a great team player and is always up for an adventure or challenge.
